Where are living now?
Pittsburgh

Did you play collegiately?
St. Francis University (PA)

What are you doing now?
Working in operations for the Pittsburgh branch of my father’s Waste and Recycling company Capitol Waste.

Married?  Children?
I am marrying my beautiful fiancé Maria on 9/22/18!

What is the fondest memory from your playing career at DeSales?
I think finishing my junior (view 2007 tribute page) and senior year (visit 2008 tribute page) with undefeated regular seasons was something really special. Being named all-state was also a really great honor and fond memory.

What made playing for DeSales so special?
The sense of family and tradition is something that I think makes DeSales very special, the football team in particular.

What was it like playing for Coach Wiggins?
Coach Wiggins is a great guy. I always thought he was the perfect combination of being a players coach and a disciplinarian. He would treat you like a friend in conversation but be stern when it was needed on the field or in meetings. He is a great coach and a great person. His success is a testament to that.

What was your best game?
It was a very tight and hard fought game but I would say the ‘08 playoff win against Watterson. You always have to be on the top of your game and ready to overcome adversity when playing Watterson.

Smith (78) makes a tackle in the 2008 Watterson game at Crew Stadium

Do you still follow DeSales, if yes, how closely?
Not as much as I would like. I am not able to come back for games often but I always make sure to check the scores.
